The term readability doesn't ask simply “Can you read it?” or “How fast can you read it?”

It also asks “Do you want to read it?"

„How we read“ is about reading typography in general, with excursions to reading on computers. And Jason´s short text invites the reader. I wanted to read it.

Did you know, for example, upper parts of characters convey more information than their lower parts?

Upper and lower parts of characters. Covering the lower part keeps the text readable, while covering the upper part makes it nearly impossible to read the text. Image taken from "How we read."
